This course is designed for individuals who are new to the Quran and wish to develop a foundational understanding of its teachings, language, and significance. Through a structured curriculum, students will be introduced to the basics of Quranic recitation, comprehension, and reflection.

Course Objectives:

o Historical context and revelation of the Quran.
o Structure and organization of the Quran (Surahs, Ayahs).

2. Basics of Quranic Arabic:
o Introduction to the Arabic alphabet.
o Basic Arabic grammar and vocabulary relevant to the Quran.
o Common phrases and terminology used in the Quran.

3. Tajweed (Quranic Recitation Rules):
o Importance of Tajweed and its impact on recitation.
o Basic rules of Tajweed (pronunciation, elongation, pauses).
o Practical exercises and guided recitation practice.

4. Selected Surahs and Their Meanings:
o Study of short, commonly recited Surahs (e.g., Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas).
o Explanation of their meanings and themes.
o Reflection on the relevance of these Surahs in daily life.

5. Themes and Messages of the Quran:
o Overview of key themes such as faith, worship, morality, and guidance.
o Stories of the Prophets and their lessons.
o The Quran’s guidance on personal conduct and social justice.

6. Practical Application and Reflection:
o Encouraging regular recitation and memorization.
o Developing a habit of reflecting on the Quran’s teachings.
